CAMOUFLAGE BELT (WANG GUK 4: KINGDOM)
Meaning: The sapling is fighting its way to maturity.
Interpretation: For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
– Ephesians 6:12 (NAS)
As a camouflage belt, you begin the next saga in your Taekwondo walk.
In this next phase, you are beginning to spar. Just as we show control in our technique to not hurt our fellow students, we must also show self-control in our actions as we live out our every day lives.
It is very important to understand that when you are competing, you are not competing with another person. Rather, you are competing with yourself. The person that you are sparring is not your enemy. Sometimes in life we are hurt by other people.
When this happens, remember that people are not our enemies. Our battle is against the attacks of the devil. Jesus commands us to walk in love. Let me stress this point:
This is not a suggestion. It is a commandment.
The battle is the Lord’s, and the victory is ours. we do not fight our own battles. We win our battles when we pray, and when we praise our God for his love and power he bestows upon us.
