Meaning: The mustard tree is rooted and grounded in the earth.

Interpretation: “I pray that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and depth of God’s love.”

– Ephesians 3:17-18 (NAS)

When reaching purple belt, your training is beginning to show depth. You are at the point of becoming proficient in Taekwondo. Your kicks and hand techniques have begun to transform into new and different angles and body positions.

Your walk with the Lord is transforming as well, as you are starting to hear and see His love towards you in unfathomable ways.

Remember that God does not “have” love. He IS love. Nothing can separate you from the love of God. Take into captivity any and all thoughts that would come against the revelation of the love of God.

Please also cast down all thoughts that would sneak in and try to convince you to quit Taekwondo. Persevere!

Believe me when I say, you are closer than you think to reaching your goal of being a Black Belt.

In Love,

Grand Master Lovett
